The infamous Naked & Famous Denim Super Heavyweight 32oz Selvedge makes its final appearance in the denim world. This is a pair of denim that needs little to no introduction, but allow me to whet your appetite.
It's the denim that stands alone and stands on its own weighing in at 32oz per square yard as the heaviest denim ever created. The fabric was woven in the legendary denim prefecture of Okayama on vintage shuttle looms. Itwas unimaginably hard to produce because it uses a size 1 x 0.5 thick yarn, which is the same size used to make heavy carpet or sailboat sails. The fabric is so difficult to sew that it takes the skill of 3 machine operators to complete each step, and they can only produce 2 pairs in a single day. There are only 100 pairs of indigo and 50 pairs of black made in this final batch and it took over a year to complete. The denim is too heavy to sanforize, so the denim remains unsanforized. Please size up 1 from your normal Weird Guy size if pre-soaking or washing. The denim is so notoriously difficult to build and produce that the mill refuses to produce another batch, which is why this is it!
