XX-019 Indigo: RARE I do not think there are current plans to remake this fabric. I am sure it will be made again at some point.
Jeans have never been washed. I wore them a couple of times but decided they are a bit too small for me. Great pair of PBJ Jeans!
Coming strong with 2.0 of the relaxed tapered, a fit that features a lengthier front rise, a wider thigh and aggressive taper from the knee down creating a highly aesthetically pleasing silhouette, while still being surprisingly comfortable.
Imagine the standard XX-019 offering, a solid pair of jeans with ample slub in true PBJ fashion. Now imagine that standard XX-019 beefed up in weight and the nep dialed all the way up. That's these jeans, the NP-019. Well, in terms of pedigree, its actually closer to the than any other pair in the PBJ lineup. Sharing the same warp as the previously released PBE-019s, the weft was switched out for a neppy undyed yarn instead of the beige tinted natural cotton yarn. Sharing that same 17.5oz., these really come alive after the first soak.
Like many of Pure Blue Japan's jeans, the fabric is of a low-tension shuttle loom, thus featuring the slubby and hairy feeling fabric common to Pure Blue Japan denim. The NP's specifically feature a ton of Nep while still carrying absurd slub levels we have come to expect from the brand. The production of these jeans are constant through out every year in several different batches because the production output of the fabric is very limited.
