Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. Thoughtfulness in shade and yarn is what makes some denim a cut above the rest. You can really see the artistry in this style. It starts with a great vintage blue warp. It's a few shades lighter than a more common dark indigo and falls into the postal blue range we love so much. Add in a tinted beige weft, and you get a real antique appearance. The beige lends a subtly aged, dusty look as it shows through on the fabric surface. We used a beige tinted weft on the first fabric ever in the Gustin line that sold at retail in 2011 and still have a soft spot for the character it adds to a fabric. Finally, small cotton neps dot the surface of the fabric, giving it just a touch of irregularity.
