Gap 1969 Kaihara 13.75oz Japanese Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans 38W 32L Raw
This is a pair of premium Gap 1969 straight cut jeans in 13.75oz Kaihara Japanese Selvedge Denim that have been worn in from raw.
They’re a true 38-inch waist — and so, regrettably, just a shade too big for me — and have a 32-inch inside leg with factory hems. The rivets are the clean variety, watch pocket has the selvedge detail to the interior and the jeans have a button fly.
They have clearly been worn in, with whiskering to the front, but overall, wear is minimal to moderate — plenty of life left before the crotch blows out.
Cut is classic straight — if you like your selvedge classic, then these tick all the boxes. If I were bigger, they’d be going nowhere, but not seems mean to wait on weight when someone could be getting good use of these 2016 classics now (the date was likely added by an ardent denim fan keen to track the way these wore in).
