Description 2/8/24 UPDATE: just a heads up.. i'm getting some patches in the mail sometime this weekend or early next week. i'm going to repair the tears in the lining below pockets and at cuffs and then raise the price to 120? or so..

this is a sweet little jacket. a lot of makers have made this exact style- i've seen schott, bates, harley, wilson and other's variations on this theme. plenty of colors, sizes, prices and brands to choose from here on the eBay. i'm rather fond of the color of this one, its a little more uncommon..

this is perfect gear for your moped or scooter rider or the motorcyclist at low speeds around town.

nice mid-weight leather, solidly constructed as some things still were in the 1960's or 70's. nothing flimsy about this jacket.

i don't know how to describe the color but i dig it. tan or brown doesn't quite capture it. maybe closer to "stone ground bavarian mustard" color, a yellow/brown- somewhere in there. one of my roomates suggested "yellow curry" and another suggested "diarrhea" as potential colors..

size says 38 but it measures out as a 40.. the dude in the pictures is 5'11", 155lbs, 31" waist, skinny and usually wears a 42 but it fits him (snugy) with just a thin collared shirt on underneath.

all zippers work, all pockets fine and without holes, removable fleecy? liner- nice! inner liner and removable one both clean and it good overall shape*, no smells or stains or cuts, tears, rips or gouges. some edge wear consistent with age and a few barely noticable scuffs. all real flaws listed below:

*the maroon or burgundy inner most lining is fine most everywhere EXCEPT in some high wear spots.. one armpit is a little frayed, both inner cuffs show wear and at some point need to be addressed, the major flaw is the bottom inside liner behind the pockets. the right side is fraying and tearing slightly. the left side has ripped completely open- you can pull the outside pocket thru it. there is a small sewn patch job on back right shoulder blade. none of these affect the jacket structurally in any way and all could just as easily be ignored as repaired for the present. one day though, one day you will have to patch or shore up the lining..
