Best Made Co. was an American artisanal tools and clothing company founded in 2009 by Peter Buchanan-Smith. In October 2020, it was acquired by Duluth Trading Co., an American workwear and accessories company headquartered in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin.

The company's first product was a collection of functional axes with colorful yet clean-cut "high-quality graffiti paint" designs on the hickory handles. The axes have been exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London and also have been acquired by foresters and collectors (including David Lynch.) Best Made quickly gained recognition as an "ax company".

With time, Peter expanded his product line to include high-end camping gear and outdoor apparel, opening storefronts in New York and Los Angeles. By 2017, the brand shifted its focus to producing high-end men's apparel. Around that time, the company was purchased by Bolt Threads—a California-based bio-materials startup—with the goal of using Best Made as a proving ground for Bolt's sustainable fibers, like Microsilk.

Peter left the company in 2019. In October 2020, Duluth Trading Co. acquired Best Made Co. Today, Best Made's products—clothing, knives, axes, cookware, etc.—are available on Duluth's website at duluthtrading.com/best-made.
