Mavi jeans

Mavi is a Turkish fashionwear for men and women, founded in 1991. It is based in Istanbul, Turkey, with subsidiaries in the USA, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, and Australia. It is one of the biggest jeans brands in Turkey and has its flagship stores in New York City, Vancouver, Montreal, Istanbul, Berlin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Moscow. The manufacturing facility is located in Çerkezköy, Tekirdağ Province.

Mavi was founded in 1991 by Sait Akarlilar and his daughter Elif and his son Ersin, in Istanbul, Turkey. The brand was founded under the umbrella of the parent company, Erak Denim, which Sait Akarlilar founded in 1960, at the age of 20. It is now headed by Arkun Durmaz (President) and Ardie Ulukaya (Sales).

The company manufactures jeans for both women and men, targeting a younger age group. Besides jeans and pants, it also makes jackets, shirts, and shorts.
